This is probably Nagai's best known live-action. And perhaps Nagai considered Mikie Hara as a good Honey because of her action sequences, which in my opinion were better done by her than Eriko Sato in the film. Also, an important part of Honey is that she teases her enemies, something that the Cutie from Sato didn't do much, but Hara's Cutie did a lot. Personally, I like more Hara as Honey than Sato. But after all, both of these Honeys were conceived to be different from the original Honey and they are less mature than the one from the OVAs, the original TV series or the manga. In the end, the new live-action Honeys are more "family friendly". But this is still quite a good Japanese tokusatsu in my opinion.

I liked the show more than the movie in general, but as far as charater preference goes, Sato has my choice.

Erika was too much of an airhead for the most part which in my opinion doesn't represent Cutey Honey well as far as her general personality goes. Not to mention the other Honeys kinda stole her thunder.
